North Country Chorus


Young British organ virtuoso Benjamin Sheen plays a recital at 4 pm on Sunday 24 May at the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College ("The White Church"), 40 College St. in Hanover. The program includes Mozart's great Fantasia in f minor and Bach's Passacaglia and Fugue in c minor as well as other pieces by Bach and Schumann. Admission is free.

Ben is a graduate of Oxford University and Juilliard, and is currently the Assistant Organist at St. Thomas Church in New York City. Whet your appetite at bensheen.com.

The North Country Chorus is a community chorus of about 80 members. Under the direction of Alan Rowe, it serves the Upper Connecticut River Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. The Chorus typically presents three series of concerts each year as well as three nights of Madrigal Dinner in January. Performances during the Christmas season and in the spring feature mostly classical works. Summer concerts feature a variety of shorter pieces.
